During the last few decades the Worship Pastor or Director of Worship or Worship Leader has become an essential position within the ministry teams of local congregations. In response to this expectation, a flood of individuals have taken their places in service to local congregations.

In recent years, a growing cry has come from local congregations for worship leaders who are deeper and wider, that is, for worship leaders who have a growing understanding of the church, a deepening relationship with Jesus Christ, and a fully deployed set of gifts. This cry has been accompanied by a growing awareness on the part of Worship Leaders for development in their understanding of worship, spiritual formation, and competencies.

The unique partnership that exists between 10,000 Fathers, Visible Music College, and Northern Seminary’s Master of Arts in Worship program responds to that cry. Together, we seek to develop deeper and wider worship leaders who as growing disciples of Jesus Christ realize the difference between great concerts and the great commission, a great show and a great shepherd, gigs and growth, tours and tears, commitment to fans and commitment to family. In the end, we hope to send graduates throughout the world who, as leaders of worship, shape the way the world worships. And we truly believe we are better together. Students’ time at 10,000 Fathers counts towards both Bachelor’s degree credits at Visible and Master’s level coursework at Northern Seminary.

For 10,000 Fathers Students and Alumni:

Visible Music College is offering an undergraduate degree completion program which takes into consideration your time with 10,000 Fathers, any on-the-job ministry experience you have, as well as any undergraduate coursework you may have already completed.

Your class requirements at Visible will be customized based on your particular experience and school history and determined by a free, one-on-one consultation with Visible’s Director of Academic Affairs, Scott Lencke, at scott@visible.edu.

Visible is also offering scholarship opportunities for all 10,000 Fathers students or alumni who wish to complete their undergraduate degrees. In addition, your time with Visible will be completed online, with no requirements to relocate or travel to one of its campuses.

For Visible Students:

Current Visible students in their 2nd or 3rd year of the program can opt to attend the 10,000 Fathers Worship School onsite in Atlanta. Completing the 10,000 Fathers intensives and huddle tracks will count for up to 12 credit hours at Visible, covering elective credits and a professional internship.

The immersive 10,000 Fathers experience allows students to journey together with other worship leaders from around the world in our personal, family-like culture while receiving world-class coaching in small huddles from leaders serving as worship pastors in their communities. Visible students should contact Scott Lencke (scott@visible.edu) to determine the best time to begin their 18-month journey with 10,000 Fathers given the academic calendar at Visible.

Master of Arts in Worship (MAW) at Northern Seminary:

Students who complete their Bachelor’s degree through the partnership with Visible and 10,000 Fathers (or who have previously completed their Bachelor’s degree elsewhere) are positioned to continue on with Northern Seminary’s Master of Arts in Worship program. The coursework completed with 10,000 Fathers satisfies one third of the masters degree requirements at Northern Seminary.

The MAW program encourages students to build professional development into the rhythm of their lives and, for thirty-six months, dedicate that slice of life to the life-transforming experience of earning an advanced degree. This approach allows the students to enjoy, absorb, and apply their experience to life and ministry. This program affirms the value of mentoring, peer accountability, friendship, and life together as disciples towards personal and professional development. Hence, 20-30 students will form a cohort and progress together for 36 months as a community of disciples.

This program utilizes mostly live-online, classroom learning. Students are required to attend a one-week intensive each summer at Northern’s Lisle, IL campus to kick-off each of the three years, as well as be present for graduation (a total of four trips to the Chicago area). Below is an overview of the course layout for the MAW program.
